🔗 Vzťažné vety: who, which, that, where
Vzťažné zámená spájajú vety a spresňujú, o kom alebo o čom hovoríme. Who pre osoby, which pre veci, that pre oboje, where pre miesta, whose = čí.
Ako sa tvorí

Kedy môžeme zámeno vynechať
Keď je zámeno predmetom: the book (that) I read. Keď je podmetom, vynechať sa nedá: the man who lives here.
- This is the book I told you about. – To je tá kniha, o ktorej som ti hovoril.
Čiarky
Na rozdiel od slovenčiny sa pred určujúcou vzťažnou vetou čiarka nepíše. Píše sa len pri doplňujúcej informácii: My brother, who lives in Brno, is a doctor.
- The woman who called you is my aunt. – Žena, ktorá ti volala, je moja teta.
