How many of you have dreamed of surfing along the coast of Southern California? Many people have! And, one of the best "spots" is Huntington Beach, California, U.S.A. This is a small beach town about an hour and twenty minutes south of Los Angeles, along the California coast. Hundreds of surfers, guys and girls, can be seen surfing the waves with a "long board", "short board", or, my personal favorite, a "boogie board". The first two boards are known as "surf boards," and the second is a simplified surf board. The boogie board does not allow one to "stand up". One simply lies flat and enjoys the ride!

Huntington Beach sponsors surf contests a few times a year to some of the best surfers in the world. Three years ago, I went to one of these contests and watched some of the best surfers in action!
