Ironically, although the Throne rescinded her title of HRH, it was only after the divorce that Diana revealed to the world who she really was - a Queen.

Reflecting on the results produced by Charles' traditional royal upbringing, Diana lavished on her sons both affection, and a sense of the world around them.
And then, she fell in love.
Free from the oppression of Palace constraints, free at last from the demon of her own youthful insecurity, Diana finally began to do that which had been denied her so long - She began to live!
