1. To take on board - pochopit, přijmout názor
The jury has taken his suggestion on board.
I am sorry but I cannot take your idea on board.

2. To have a change of heart - změnit názor
When he saw it there, he had a change of heart.

3. To fall on deaf ears - nesetkat se s porozuměním, padnout na neúrodnou půdu (myšlenka)
I'm afraid but I think your idea will fall on deaf ears.

4. (A)round the clock - ve dne v noci
We were studying round the clock to pass the exam.

5. It's daylight robbery - nehorázné okrádání, "zlodějna"
What the repairer charges for fixing one car is daylight robbery.
